Hearthwell

Returns & refunds

If you bought online from Hearthwell, you have a legal right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. That cooling-off period is 14 days from the day you receive the goods, plus the time needed to tell us you are cancelling.

In addition, Hearthwell offers a 30-day returns window from delivery for unused items in their original packaging, which is longer than the statutory period.

Part-assembled and assembled items

You may unwrap and inspect a product as you would in a shop. Going further than that — building it, cutting or drilling panels, treating or painting timber, or fixing it to a base — goes beyond inspection, and we may reduce your refund to reflect the loss in value, as the Regulations allow. Once a shed has been assembled outdoors it cannot usually be returned, so please check the dimensions against your base before you start.

How to cancel or return

Use the cancel your order page, email contact@hearthwell.site, or write to Hearthwell, 48 Viscount St, Manchester, M14 5UH, United Kingdom, with your order reference and the stock code you are returning. Send the goods back without undue delay and within 14 days of telling us. You pay the cost of return carriage unless the item is faulty or not as described — for palletised goods that can be substantial, so ask us for a quote before you book anything.

Damaged or missing parts

Tell us within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs and the pack code from the label. Manufacturers supply replacement panels and fixings directly for most of the range, which is usually faster than returning a whole building, and we arrange it for you.

Refunds

We refund using the same payment method, including any original UK mainland delivery charge, where you cancel the whole order under the 14-day right. If you return only some items after the statutory period, delivery is not refunded. Faulty goods are covered by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — a 30-day right to reject, and repair or replacement after that.

Guarantees against rot and corrosion are given by the manufacturer, and their length is stated on each product page. Timber guarantees on dip-treated and untreated stock require you to apply a timber treatment as the manufacturer instructs.

Delivery times are on the delivery page. These rights sit alongside, and do not replace, your statutory rights.
